Six Words To The Wise

For those of us who like to write short things such as columns, greeting cards and email messages which are quick and to the point, there has been a challenge out there for us.

To sum things up in 6 words.

"
Not quite what I Was Planning" seems to be one of those easy reads, quick reads, reads where you may very well see yourself through someone else's summation of themselves.

I am still awaiting my copy of the book. What I have seen thus far around the web has been inspiring. Granted, I haven't sat down and written my own summation(s) as of yet, but in time, I am sure there will be plenty to write about.

And the best part, they are short, simple and to the point. (But that wordy part within me might have a tough time at first).

Now It's Your Turn...

In 6 words, tell us your writing history.
Your future writings to come.

Wear It Proudly

Why do we go into writing in the first place?

What makes us think we have what it takes (and at times, it takes a bit of effort) to sit and write what is in our minds and hearts.

For me, it's the thought that just maybe something I end up putting down on paper or on a given computer screen which someone magically comes across while searching the web, will truly be read, be useful in someone's life.

As for what keeps us writing, it's the thought that another day is more than just another day. It brings new opportunities, new options, new stories and new adventures to write about. Writing is not only what we do, it is part of who we are.

I know I've mentioned it before here, and someday it will happen, but eventually there will be mini conversations with writers on here. To mention their thoughts about writing, their motivations and what keeps them going when the words may or may not be there at a given moment.

What are your motivations? What keeps you writing? What got you to writing in the first place?

P.S. The hat above can be found here.
